Wang Yun (王允), courtesy Wang Zishi (王子師), was the official headmaster of Dong Han Academy (東漢書院): and Diao Chan’s adoptive father.

Personality

As a person, he was pure-hearted and tends to trust people wholeheartedly, even those who may do him harm. He would sacrifice his life in order to protect his students. His persisting character was what touched the then-rebellious Cao Cao and convinced him into returning to school.

Biography

History

He was classmates with Dong Zhuo in elementary school.

K.O.3an Guo

He was the one who dubbed Guan Yu, Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun, Ma Chao and Huang Zhong to the "Five Tiger Generals" (五虎將).

Principal Wang was put in a coma, after being attacked by Dong Zhuo when no one was looking.

Return

He remained in a comatose until Cao Cao and the others move him to safety. Dong Zhuo teaches Lu Bu a way to restore him in hopes to track him down and kill him on the spot and then remove the blame to Cao Cao and the Tiger Generals. However, Sun Shang Xiang outsmarts him and Lu Bu passes the method on to Guan Yu instead.

Once he learned to utilize it fully, Guan Yu uses it to restore Principal Wang's health, and finally awakens him from his coma.

Having learned everything that happened while he was gone, Principal Wang asks Cao Cao to invent a potion that would change Diao Chan's character in order to protect her from heartbreaks.

Dong Zhuo framed him for co-operating with Huang Jin High School to prevent him from returning to Dong Han Academy, thus forcing him to remain in Cao Cao's secret base.

Return to Dong Han Academy

After his students gathered beneficial evidence, they turned it to the Ten Attendants, whom confirmed the evidence was true, allowing Principal Wang to return to Dong Han Academy as its rightful headmaster.

Death

Sometime after Dong Zhuo took over the imperial court, he banned everyone from going to school. Wang Yun travels to the court in hopes to promote a compromise, only to get killed by his old friend.

Powers

Principal Wang's powers were unknown, but he supposedly possesses certain amount of powers. This was first confirmed when he assisted the Five Tiger Generals in fending off Dong Zhuo.

Da Hun Dun (大魂盾)

Before he died, he demonstrated a defensive shield to protect himself from Dong Zhuo's attacks. This ability was called Da Hun Dun (大魂盾).

Origin

Wang Yun (137 AD – 192 AD) was the Minister over the Masses under Emperor Xian during the late Eastern Han Dynasty of China. During Wang Yun's time, the emperors were mere puppets under the power of eunuchs and warlords. In 192, Wang Yun plotted and successfully staged Lü Bu's assassination of Dong Zhuo, the tyrannical warlord in power. However, Dong Zhuo's former subjects soon led a coup, in which Wang Yun along with most of his family were executed.
